My boys love pirates, so this has been fun to read with them! My first grade son can read most of the words in this series independently and because of the patterns used to deliver the story, he is building skills, confidence and sounding more smooth as he reads each book. We’ve had a few spontaneous learning moments because of the pictures too!
My five year old son loves these books and showed excitement each time we read a new book in the series. My other boys (2&3) have asked me to read these books on multiple occasions.
